We are pleased to announce to all of you that YEU is taking part in a virtual exchange project named “DigiUp” which aims to connect higher education students, academic staff and young people from Europe and Sub-Saharan countries through well-established virtual activities for development of both digital and soft skills in order to increase career opportunities and gaining the 21st century skills that necessary for young people. DigiUp project is going to focus on the learning dimension of the virtual exchanges by developing the digital and soft skills of young people and professors through various virtual non-formal education methods.
We are happy to be in this project with our 8 partners from 4 different countries and sectors and to have more than 1.000 learners to enhance from it. The activities are going to be held on online platform, will be having involved our learners and experts that are from different places and joining online in order to develop their digital skills as well as intercultural soft-skills, thus allowing for a wide network among learners and experts as much as an exchange of competences.
On 28th of March 2023 Tuesday, we had our first Kick-off meeting online with our partners; Mitropolitiko College Anoymi Ekpaideytiki Etairia from Greece, Erasmus Student Network AISBL from Belgium, University of Dar Es Salaam from Tanzania and University of Johannesburg, University of Kwazulu-Natal, University of Fort Hare, University of Venda from South Africa. YEU was represented in the event by Tenna Sørensen – our Fundraising and Project Officer, and by Beyza Alabay – our Project Assistant, both were virtually present in the meeting, taking part in discussion and planning.
It was a pleasure to be able to meet with our partners and share the same enthusiasm on our project! Following the kick-off meeting, framework of the activities and methods has been discussed; further steps and dates had been presented.
We all are excited to introduce our DigiUp project to you and looking forward to proceeding to the next steps and “Digi Up” all our learners.
