“SUITCASE” was a project supported by the Youth in Action Programme which took place in Brussels (Belgium) and Istanbul (Turkey) in 2013.
The aim of this project was to get youth workers to start thinking about implementing projects on social entrepreneurship to benefit young people with fewer opportunities due to the difficulties faced in including and reaching out to this public. The project aimed to overcome this reality by creating a handbook on the subject for the young people, youth workers, trainers and youth NGOs by gathering knowledge from the field through mapping, researching and more.
One of the main outcomes of SUITCASE was the creation of a handbook which included detailed guidelines and good practices to boost YEU’s member and partner organisations to implement more projects on social entrepreneurship at a local, national and international level. The guidelines were also drafted with a view to improve the sustainability of social entrepreneurship and ensure the continuous participation of young people with fewer opportunities.
