KID_ACTIONS is a long-term project involving partners from Belgium and Italy:
- Fondazione Bruno Kessler
- Amnesty International Italy
- Autonomous Province of Trento
- European Schoolnet
- YEU International
KID_ACTIONS aims to address cyberbullying among children and adolescents through interactive education and gamification within formal and non-formal learning settings at the EU level. The project supports teachers, educators, and youth workers in fostering effectiveness and efficiency in education about risks and effects of cyberbullying, raise awareness among secondary school students and youth centres, and encourage reporting by victims and bystanders. KID_ACTIONS will empower 11 to 19 years old young people and key educational stakeholders by co-creating innovative digital and non-digital educational tools aimed to prevent and combat cyberbullying.
You can find more information about the project at www.kidactions.eu.
Description of the event:
The Train-the-Trainer Sessions will be two-day training courses aimed at teachers, educators and youth workers to facilitate active learning in order to help young people combat the risks and challenges of cyberbullying through multifaceted responses. The participants joining these sessions should be coming from one of the 9 project countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
These sessions will involve educators who will work on the contents, methodologies and tools introduced by the educational toolkits and the KID_ACTIONS tools, in order to prevent and combat cyberbullying among children and adolescents. The main goal of these courses is to help the educational staff to inform, motivate and inspire young people through the KID_ACTIONS educational activities.
During the training, the participants will get familiar with the project and the KID_ACTIONS Toolkits. The participants from these sessions will be guiding sessions in their local communities involving young people from the YEU network in Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The participants in these training sessions should have experience delivering workshops in local communities and working with young people on sensitive topics, as is the case of bullying and cyberbullying.
Commitment following the event:
The participants who take part in the KID_ACTIONS Train-the-Trainer training courses will have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by holding sessions aimed at validating and experimenting the KID_ACTIONS Digital Education Platform and the educational toolkits in their local communities. There should be at least 3 workshops in each of the project countries, each with 25 participants. The participants will receive compensation for these sessions (100 EUR per workshop). Following the workshops, the participants will have to provide all the relevant documents to YEU (agenda, report, participants lists, consent forms).
