New YEU Advocacy Initiatives – Raise Your Voice With Us!

New YEU Advocacy Initiatives – Raise Your Voice With Us!

On of the main purposes and priorities of YEU is to be the direct bridge between local youth across and beyond Europe and policy and decision makers at EU level to ensure that the voices of young people around the world – who are all to some extent influenced by EU policies – are being heard and taken seriously. For this reason, YEU welcomes three new advocacy initiatives for you and young people in your networks to join:

Days for Advocacy

Days for Advocacy are online meetings with young people from YEU’s network, which during 2023 will be focusing on the professionalization of youth work and access to quality employment for young people including EU youth goal number 7 (Quality Employment for All) and in line with the European Year of Skills’ goal of matching people’s aspirations and skill sets with opportunities on the job market.

Young Ambassadors for Youth Democratic Participation

A network of young ambassadors who will develop local campaigns to promote youth participation in the EU Parliament Elections 2024, by sharing the EU values and initiatives and educating their peers on the importance of democratic participation on local, national and European levels, within their local communities.

No Agenda Advocacy Meetings

The “no agenda advocacy meetings” aim to mainstream youth representation across EU policy and to provide a space for young people to voice up about their opinions, needs and roles in shaping their future Europe. This initiative was already presented in our recent General Assembly where we had an overall discussion of potential focus areas and format for an advocacy campaign, which will be co-created within the next half year. The topic of the campaign will directly reflect the needs of youth and will be correlated with the EU youth goals and the EU youth strategy.

More information about our upcoming advocacy initiatives will follow soon – we hope you will raise your voice with us!
