At the end of the warm month of July, we had the pleasure of having a Coffee With Otillia Colceriu, a communications professional and the Executive Director of the influential EU&U organisation!
Thank you to all those who attended and made this moment special! We also want to reiterate our gratitude to Otilia for sharing her insights with YEU’s community of young people!
Andrea Malena, a PET member, steered the conversation, asking Otilia about her background and her passion for bringing European politics to young people all over the continent (and beyond!).
The discussion naturally shifted towards EU&U, its origins, its goals, and its rapid evolution. The digital strategy adopted by this youth-led organisation successfully understands young people’s use of social media and their political interests by creating posts that are more likely to be picked up by the algorithms.
Following their Political Compass, the organisation is grounded in a pro-European perspective, advocating for their overall vision of the EU’s future. The volunteers of EU&U work together to be the change they want to see at the European level, keeping their peers informed and aware of current affairs.
It was a true pleasure to chat with Otillia, and we strongly encourage the YEU community to follow the organisation (if it’s not already the case!)
