Dear YEU family,
After a short summer break that was needed so much after a hectic period, we greet each of you from the headquarters, Brussels. As of tomorrow, we are leaving the first 8 months of 2023 behind.
We sincerely hope you all took some time off to see what you’ve accomplished in the last few months. Sometimes we need to take a moment to see what we’ve overcome and what we’ve achieved. Due to the amount of work, this is often overlooked. However, it is important for us to stay motivated at work and in our daily lives.
Summer is coming to an end and autumn is approaching. The YEU Secretariat is ready to organise more events, continue to implement projects and provide opportunities for the entire network.
We’ve seen a lot of changes in the office since the beginning of the year and this has clearly affected us, but we’ve been careful not to let this affect our work. With this in mind, I would like to inform you that next Monday, through the French Civil Service, two new volunteers will join us. You will be hearing from us more about that!
We have more good news for you. Throughout the spring season, you may remember that we were constantly writing projects and forming partnerships in different projects. As a result of these dedicated efforts, we are pleased to announce that two projects have been approved by the European Commission.
The first is “WE ARE HER”, under the Erasmus+ Call for proposals Capacity Building in the field of Youth (CBY) where YEU is the coordinator organisation. And the second is NEW INHERIT within the Creative Europe Programme (CREA) in which YEU takes part as a partner and our member organisation CGE from Germany is the applicant.
We are still awaiting the results of the other applications, but in the meantime, we would like to say that we would be interested to be a partner with you for the upcoming deadline.
We will continue to share all news and announcements with you through our YEU Newsmail and promote your activities within the YEU network.
This year marks the 42nd year of the YEU; and we continue our final preparations for the 41st YEU Convention to be held in Greece.
We look forward to seeing you all at YEU events, both online and in person.
Sending you all our warm greetings.
Stay youth!
YEU Secretariat
