On 10 and 11 September 2026, YEU International participated in the second transnational project meeting of ART4U -ARTvocacy for (U)nion in Lisbon, Portugal. Luigi represented YEU at the meeting, hosted by Gerador at the Goethe-Institut Lisboa.
The meeting brought project partners together to review the progress of activities in Greece, Poland and Portugal. Partners discussed the project timeline, completed and upcoming activities and preparations for the final reporting phase.
Particular attention was given to the three policy recommendations emerging from the project’s artistic activities and consultations. YEU is responsible for consolidating the partners’ contributions and developing an engaging format to present the recommendations to policymakers and civil society representatives. Partners also worked on the final Policy Recommendations Evening in Brussels, scheduled for 13 November 2026. The event will combine policy dialogue with interactive artistic showcases involving musicians from Greece, young theatre artists from Poland and filmmakers from Portugal. YEU will coordinate the event preparations and stakeholder outreach in cooperation with the project partners.
The Lisbon meeting offered a valuable opportunity to reflect on the results achieved so far and agree on the final steps of the project. We thank Gerador for hosting us and all partners for the productive exchange. We now look forward to bringing the project’s artistic experiences, youth voices and policy messages to Brussels.
